Motorola One Vision – Android One once again
Motorola has been in the hands of Lenovo for several years and it must be admitted that it was only from 2018 that we had a more serious product offensive and it was clear that the Chinese owner finally devoted more attention to his company in the mobile segment. After all, you can not live with your laptops alone. A few months ago, we got to know the new series, Motorola Moto One, which is distinguished by belonging to the Android One line. Yes, here we also have pure Android, as in other skins , but the slogan is to go even faster, and it seems to me that Motorola has the ambition to fight Nokia in this category. We, as clients, only have to enjoy it.
The presented model, Motorola Moto One Vision, derives mainly from Moto One , available for buying in Poland for PLN 799. Probably the amendments will be visible in many places. The screen has grown a bit and this time it is completely frameless, and the cut on the front camera is similar to Samsung Galaxy S10 . IPS TFT LCD panel has a diagonal of 6.3 inches, Full HD + resolution and an unusual 21: 9 aspect ratio, which has so far only been decided by Sony. Undoubtedly, such a format will be perfect for some films.
The most interesting, however, is what processor to propel it. Until now, Motorola has accustomed us to use Qualcomm systems in their medium and high-end devices, while budgetists were able to come across Mediateki. No surprise. Meanwhile, Samsung’s SoC debut in the new Motorola One.
More specifically, it’s about Samsung Exynos 9609. It has a total of eight cores: four ARM Cortex A73 and four ARM Cortex A53; and ARM Mali G72 MP3 graphics and performs really well against the rivals, comparable to Snapdragon 660. In addition, it is created in the lithographic process 10 nanometers. For this reason, it sounds like a sensible option, but on the other hand you have to remember that with Exynos there is a weaker community support in the subject of Custom ROMs than in the case of Snapdragon.
Moto One Vision is equipped with a 3500 mAh battery that supports fast charging of 15 W and 15 minutes of charging means 7 hours of use. It is also worth to bring the cameras themselves closer. In the front we have a 25 Mpix camera with f / 2.0, but you can do it in 6 Mpix resolution, which will offer much better quality. In the back we have a 48 Mpix camera (Sony IMX 586 sensor) with f / 1.7 oi optical image stabilization (sic!). In practice, it allows you to take 12 Mpix photographs using the technology of combining information from four pixels into one and should translate into more sharp and clear images. A 5 Mpix sensor that detects the depth of field was added to the set
Naturally, Moto One Vision works under the control of pure Android 9 Pie. Motorola has already announced some updates to the next two versions of the system, namely Android Q and Android R, while security patches will be issued until May 2022. In Poland, the price for this device is PLN 1299 and in my opinion it will be a hit.
