OnePlus 7 is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited models, which at the same time will introduce significant changes, as for flagships from this manufacturer. What to expect?
OnePlus 7 – big expectations, major changes
With each subsequent generation of high-end, appetite and expectations increase, especially if the company has never failed. As for OnePlus, you can safely count them as one of the best-rated producers in the world, which at the same time showed more than once who is doing the fastest Android smartphones.
Naturally, OnePlus 7 will continue to use Oxygen OS software, based on this time on Android Pie. There is also a natural change regarding the processor itself. According to prevailing standards, it will be driven by the best available Qualcomm system, i.e. Snapdragon 855. Four Kryo 485 Gold cores (1 x 2.84 GHz and 1 × 512 KB L2 cache memory and 3 x 2.42 GHz and 3 × 256 KB memory L2 cache) and four Kryo 485 Silver 1.8 GHz (with 4 × 128 KB L2 cache) supplemented by Adreno 640 graphics will offer model performance, and adding to the optimization of OnePlus, we can count on really fast-acting equipment.
In the basic version it will be supplemented by 6 GB RAM. Of course, there will also be versions with 8 or 10 GB of operating memory on sale, and it seems to me that the indirect variant will be the most popular. Besides, regardless of the choice, OnePlus 7 will not be disappointing in terms of offered comfort of work and there should not be any significant differences in this area compared to its predecessors.
Everything stays in the family
Differences between OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro can also be found in the Optic AMOLED screen itself. The first of these will receive a 6.5-inch panel with Full HD + resolution and a small tear at the top, while the second has a 6.67-inch Quad HD + bezfridge display, and it is quite surprising that in this model we will have a higher chapter. It is worth noting that the Pro variant will boast a curved screen on both sides and an image refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The whole will be powered by a battery with a capacity of about 4000 mAh (versus 3700 with OnePlus 6T), but now we know that it will not support inductive charging. A great pity and such a move can probably be explained only by the desire to reduce costs. The quick charging will remain for tears. On board we will see OxygenOS 9.5 with Android 9 Pie on the grid.
However, the biggest novelty will be a different design in the Pro variant. Namely, we can definitely say that the equipment will offer a sliding module of the front webcam, which will allow you to remove any notches from the phone, offering a beautiful, smooth surface of the display. It is a pity that we will not see it in the basic version. I understand, however, that in this way the manufacturer wants to offer cheaper equipment to fight such models as Xiaomi Mi 9 or Honor 20 .
The back of the triple camera module will appear at the back. The following connection is being talked about:
- 48 Mpix, matrix Sony IMX586,
- 16 Mpix with a telephoto lens,
- 8 Mpix with wide-angle lens.
It sounds quite standard, as for the novelty of 2019, but I am curious what effects such engineers will achieve Chinese brand engineers. In my opinion, the progress towards 6T in terms of the quality of photos should be visible.
Several variants of OnePlus for start
Three variants will appear exactly for sale:
- OnePlus 7 – code markings: GM1901, GM1903, GM1905,
- OnePlus 7 Pro – code markings: GM1911, GM1913, GM1915 and GM1917,
- OnePlus 7 Pro 5G – code markings: GM1920.
But what is the Pro version to stand out? Based on the latest news, we can conclude that it will receive in the basic version of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of built-in memory. In turn, the Pro 5G will simply stand out with the support for the 5G network.
The premiere of the OnePlus 7 will probably take place on May 14. For the moment, the price remains a mystery, but looking at what it looked like in the case of previous generations, one should prepare for a small increase. Unfortunately, modern and unusual solutions are not the cheapest and you must always be prepared for this.
What do you especially like in OnePlus 7?
